Speak africa!
Hello africa!
My name is Raphael Kibindo from Tanzania. I was select by UNICEF Tanzania through Young People’s Media Network of Tanzania (YOMNET) and I have got basic training for videographer by the YOMNET chairperson. I have been at Ethiopia, Addis Ababa to the Speak Africa Media Training to get more training in order to do the coverage of ADF-V. I have started my training on Thursday 9th of November 2006 and I learned a lot of things like editing and useful checklist at different stages of video/film production and I also learned about planning and managing video production. I also learned how to focus, how to use a camera
, and how to film. We also learned about the principles of sound recording and the essentials of film directing. All the youth were given the properties and some books which could guide us on this training. They are helping me and I got much information through those properties. In this training I would like for us to have more time for practices and for our field so that we can manage to cover the ADF-V conference without problems. When I go back home in Tanzania I will make sure that I use this training to do the good and valuable things and I will also teach some or if possible all of the youth in Tanzania so that we can start our youth programme in order to help our fellow youth to express their ideas all over the country. Lastly I would like to thank all the UNICEF people and the founders of the Speak Africa Media Training and without forgetting our trainers who did their best for us. Thank You. For me speak africa has a big meaning & is a big thing! because it is my first time to go outside of my country, also it’s my first to meet with difference people from difference country at the same time & to get a time for exchanging ideas
